food to celebrate

At a time when we try to be healthy, at times when we are supposed to be on a diet, at times when we are stressed we all (or at least most people I know) reach out for the comfort food. Why do we feel comforted when we stuff ourselves with food? I guess it is one way to relieve us of our stress. Even though I do not eat a lot at buffets, I feel excited just to look at all the possibilities and the colorful and delicious food. Because food is associated to celebrations which marks the many milestones we celebrate. It is part of our rituals. This is to mark and celebrate again this space, to give it new life, new insights and a place to be more mindful of living life to the fullest. (a place to put my thoughts, ponder on stuff and not be confined to the rules of writing -- just a free space to write thoughts)
